Jay Isaac Christlieb

1862–1930

Jay Isaac Christlieb (Friedrich Carl Christlieb1, Carl Christlieb2, John Christlieb3, Isaac Christlieb4) [903], born 22 June 1862, in Indiana; died 24 March 1930; married 3 November 1889, Wells County, Indiana, Etta May "Ettie" Smith. Etta M. Smith was Jay’s second cousin. She was the daughter of Mary E. Christlieb Smith, daughter of John Charles Christlieb. John Charles Christlieb was a brother of Jay’s father. Etta died in 1942, in Indiana. They are both buried in Huntertown Cemetery New, Huntertown, Allen County, Indiana.

  • Dallas Leroy Christlieb (Friedrich Carl Christlieb1, Carl Christlieb2, John Christlieb3, Isaac Christlieb4, Jay Isaac Christlieb5) [903], born 28 March 1893, Noble County, Indiana; died 16 August 1962, DeKalb County, Indiana; married 1st, 23 December 1915, Centreville, Michigan, Celestia C. Gump, born 10 October 1900, Putnam County, Ohio; died 5 January 1932, Garrett, DeKalb County, Indiana, daughter of Simon Peter Gump and Anna Malon Elkins. Dallas and Celestia Christlieb are both buried in Huntertown Cemetery, Allen County, Indiana. Dallas Christlieb married 2nd, 11 May 1932, Myrtle Irene Friend, born 19 August 1909; died 28 May 1962, DeKalb County, Indiana, daughter of John H. Friend and Lottie M. Boren. Dallas Leroy Christlieb and Myrtle Irene Friend reportedly were the parents of five children whose names are unknown.

  • Curtis Christlieb (Friedrich Carl Christlieb1, Carl Christlieb2, John Christlieb3, Isaac Christlieb4, Jay Isaac Christlieb5) [903], born 28 November 1896; died 21 November 1968; married, 22 December 1918, Noble County, Indiana, Gladys Frankenberg, born 25 May 1899, daughter of Thomas Frankenberg and Melvina Whitehead.

  • Robert Sylvester Christlieb (Friedrich Carl Christlieb1, Carl Christlieb2, John Christlieb3,Isaac Christlieb4, Jay Isaac Christlieb5) [904], born 18 April 1903, Indiana; died 7 July 1968, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; married, 5 November 1921, Hillsdale, Michigan, Angie Marie Harkey, born 28 July 1904; died June 1992, daughter of Andrew Harkey and Dora Hull.
