Catherine died 7 June 1888, Swan, Noble County, Indiana. Isaac and Catherine are buried in the Swan Cemetery in Swan Township, Noble County, Indiana.

Smith. Etta May "Ettie" Smith was Jay’s second cousin. She was the daughter of Mary E. Christlieb Smith, daughter of John Charles Christlieb. John Charles Christlieb was a brother of Jay’s father. Etta died in 1942, in Indiana, and was buried in Huntertown Cemetery New, Huntertown, Allen County, Indiana.
