Jacob’s Ladder–Family Association Newsletter
Published periodically throughout the year since 1983, Jacob’s Ladder is the official publication of the Christlieb-Chrislip-Crislip Family Association. From its rather modest beginning, the newsletter has grown into a quarterly publication, usually of twelve pages in length. Our newsletter regularly features articles of historical and genealogical interest; births, marriages and deaths; special birthdays and anniversaries; as well as accomplishments of living descendants. Poetical works are also featured. Jacob’s Ladder has been recognized for it’s excellence, including having won first place in an international newsletter competition sponsored by the Ellen Payne Odom Genealogical Library, Moultrie, Georgia.
Articles Wanted
Congratulations, Members! Your editor is very pleased at your response to our requests for material. If you have noticed, we are getting submitted articles from our readership, which is just GREAT! Please keep up the good work, and keep those articles coming. This is one way that we can learn about our cousins; who they were, where they lived, when they lived, what they accomplished, etc.
Remember, even if you don't consider yourself to be a polished writer, please at least jot down some notes on a favorite aunt, uncle, cousin, parent, grandparent, or great grandparent. We can help turn those notes into an interesting article for Jacob’s Ladder. Of course, a picture or two would be great, to go along with your notes. If you have any questions at all, please contact your editor, or your president, with your questions. Contact information may be found on page 2 of your issue of Jacob’s Ladder, and your editor’s email address is right at the bottom of each and every web page in this site. (Yes, your editor is also your webmaster.)
Jacob’s Ladder Archive
Here you will be able to see the earliest copies of Jacob’s Ladder, started 38 years ago. It has been published on a continuous basis since 1983. The first issue announced the very first of what has become a Biennial Family Reunion. We celebrated our 19th Biennial Reunion in 2019, in Ashtabula, Ohio. As the issues get formatted, they will be added to this archive.
