Your Memorabilia, Please!
Hello Cousins!
As we get ready for our Nineteenth Biennial Reunion I would like to ask/suggest/strongly encourage you to consider bringing any family memorabilia that you may have
from the earlier days of the Christlieb-Chrislip-Crislip family to our reunion this year.
We would like to make this a Reunion to Remember! Also, as your webmaster,
I would like to photograph as much of our memorabilia as possible for inclusion on our website for all to see and appreciate.
If you are not comfortable carrying Aunt
Betty's 200-year-old water pitcher, please bring a picture of it to share, and think about typing a short story detailing as much of the history as you can remember
about where it came from, your earliest memories of it, and anything wlse pertinint to the object.
Thanks for your consideration, and I hope to see you at the Nineteenth Biennial
Reunion this summer!

Complete Your C-C-C Reunion Registration Now
You can download or print a copy of the Reunion Registration Form here, fill it out and mail it with your check to Roger Roberts, our treasurer.
Please also consider bringing your memorabilia from earlier generations of your C-C-C family ancestors. We would like to photograph them and record the history of them for archiving and for sharing with future generations of our family.
If you are not comfortable bringing fragile antiques, then please photograph them and bring your photos and stories along. We can then take photos of the photos, or if you can bring the digital files of those photographs on a thumb drive, CD, etc. that would be great as well.
The First Planning Meetings Have Taken Place
The Meeting Place and Dates have been finalized. Please mark your calendars now to avoid conflicts later on.
Evening sessions will be a catered Cookout at Lakeshore Park on scenic Lake Erie on Friday and on Saturday, a banquet at a local restaurant offering a "Farm to Table" family-style dinner.
A Keynote to the business schedule will be a special recognition offered for those who led the long term success of the C-C-C Family Association. Nearly 40 years of success is rare for any family association. Historical presentations, business sessions focusing on the future of the C-C-C Family Association, and local tours of historical sites are planned. At present, more than 20 people have indicated an intention to participate. Only 30 rooms are available for us at the Hampton Inn, and the meeting room has a 60-person limit. Early sign-up is recommended to assure space will be available.
On Saturday afternoon, we hope to have special access to a Civil War Underground Railroad House/Museum, and a Maritime Museum on the shores of Lake Erie. Both are within the city of Ashtabula.
If you have any questions, please contact Bill Crislip. Bill's contact information is here.
Family Association Scholarship Applications
Applications for the Christlieb-Chrislip-Crislip Family Association Scholarships are made in the form of a standard business letter. The letter should include the applicant's academic background, the institution of higher learning, which the applicant wishes to attend, as well as the chosen field of study.
The applicant should also include any other information, such as honors or special awards, that will aid the committee in making their selections. If so desired, applicants may also include their genealogical lineage back to Friedrich Carl Christlieb.
Letters of application can either be mailed to Dorothy Wise, 1165 Fawn Lane, Prescott, AZ 86305-7402, or emailed as a pdf attachment to DWise1@cableone.net. Applications should be received no later than June 15, 2019.
Family Association Scholarship Donations Needed
Since 1995, our family association has granted scholarships to students entering higher education. Over these twenty years, announcing the recipients of these awards has been an essential part of each biennial reunion agenda.
Due to the generosity of our membership, we have been able to grant two or three $500 scholarships at a time. Thank you very much for your support! We have not increased the size of our scholarship awards for a very long time. This year we are asking our membership to please increase the size of their donations to our Scholarship Fund so that we may increase our Scholarship Awards to at least $750 apiece.
A great big THANK YOU goes out to all who have donated to this great cause!
Donations to the Scholarship Fund have been traditionally made at the time of membership renewal, along with donations to cemetery maintenance, genealogical research, and other endeavors of the Association. We are asking members to contribute any amount they can to the Scholarship Fund. If you are including your contribution to the Scholarship Fund as a part of your membership renewal, we thank you. If you are sending a separate check for the Scholarship Fund, kindly send your check to: Roger Roberts, 15970 Kruhm Road, Burtonsville, Maryland 20866. Please enter "Scholarship Fund" on the memo line of your check. Thanks.
