Reunion Billboard Announcement

Billboard Announcement

Our 21st Biennial Reunion is now scheduled for July 26-28th 2024!

This year's Twenty-first Biennial Christlieb-Chrislip-Crislip Family Association Reunion is scheduled for July 26-28 at the Bicentennial Inn, 90 E. Main St., Buckhannon, WV 26201. They have reserved a block of 20 rooms for our event. The regular room rate is $84.00 plus tax. Only for Friday and Saturday nights, they are discounting the room rate by 10%. So, if you plan on coming in early, you will have to pay the regular rate for the other nights. It is suggested that you make your reservations just as soon as possible, by calling (304) 472-5000.

Registration Form Here!

Although I will be sending both hardcopy and electronic versions of the Reunion Registration Form to our membership, I will also post a copy here on the website for you to download and print, and send to Dave Downs, our Secretary-Treasurer. The Registration Form for the Twenty-first Christlieb-Chrislip-Crislip Family Reunion may be found right here, at registration form 2024.

Announcements will be in both the Meetings page and the News page on the website. Also, don't forget that we now have a presence on Facebook. We will keep that area updated as well.

Christlieb-Chrislip-Crislip Family Association Student Scholarship

It has been the custom for many years to award a deserving college-bound student, sometimes two, a schloarship. In the past the scholarship has been about $500.00, depending on the Family Association budget.

To apply for this scholarship, the student must write an application in the form of a business letter. Address the letter to Mrs. Dorothy Wise, 1165 Fawn Ln, Prescott, AZ 86305. In the letter the student should write about his/her high school career, including his/her GPA, awards won, and what college or university he/she plans on attending and what course of study (major) he/she is going to pursue. It would also be good to include his/her lineage back to Friedrich Carl Christlieb, as is the custom for our newsletter articles, and Sunshine and Sorrow articles to have the lineage presented. It would be desirable to have a picture of the student included with the application letter as well.

The letter needs to be mailed, or emailed, to Mrs. Wise by June 15, 2024. The presentation will be announced during the Saturday evening Banquet. The student need not be present to be awarded the scholarship. Mrs. Wise's email address is dorothywise68@gmail.com.

Your Memorabilia, Please!

Hello Cousins!

As we get ready for our Twenty-first Biennial Reunion, I would like to ask/suggest/strongly encourage you to consider bringing any family memorabilia that you may have from the earlier days of the Christlieb-Chrislip-Crislip family to our reunion this year.

We would like to make this a Reunion to Remember! Also, as your webmaster, I would like to photograph as much of our memorabilia as possible for inclusion on our website for all to see and appreciate.

If you are not comfortable carrying Aunt Betty's... or well maybe Aunt Nancy's 200-year-old water pitcher, please bring a picture of it to share, and think about typing a short story detailing as much of the history as you can remember about where it came from, your earliest memories of it, and anything else pertinint to the object.

Thanks for your consideration, and I hope to see you at the Twenty-first Biennial Reunion this summer!
